Big Stop Goalie School was created by Rob Scherr, former Johns Hopkins’ Team Captain and All-American and former Major League Lacrosse All-Star, to provide essential coaching and training for lacrosse goalies from the youth level through high school. As a player and coach, Rob realized many young goalies don’t have access to coaches who know the ins and outs of the position. Because of this, many goalies are not able to reach their full potential.
“I was extremely fortunate to have had a few great goalie coaches throughout my career who really helped me mold and evolve my game. For most goalies, having someone who can consistently remind and reinforce good habits is crucial for positive development,” Rob says.
The Big Stop staff is a mix of goalies, coaches, and shooters who are ready to teach, challenge, and encourage each player to reach their potential as a Big Stop Goalie.
Many goalies that have worked with Rob will be attending, are attending or have attended;
Mt. St. Mary’s University
St. Mary’s University
University of Bridgeport
University of California, Berkley
Washington and Lee
and other school…
